16.2 10 year old medium weight chestnut Irish bred Thoroughbred out of Try My Saldy and Forrest Nightingale. Gus lives up to his Lithuanian name meaning polite. Trained using Natural Horsemanship methods Gus is an ex point to pointer but was probably too laid back to continue competing! He has a quiet, laid back and trainable character. He is a very gentle and sweet horse who is excellent in traffic and excellent with farrier and trimmers and practically loads on his own. He is also barefoot and has excellent feet. He is a thinker not a spooker and is very very sensible with no vices or undesirable traits. He does not bolt, buck or rear but can be insecure and responds to gentle but firm persuasion. However he has a huge, brave and honest heart. He would excel in dressage and showing or would be perfect as a hacking horse. He has just started jumping and as an ex point to point has quite a jump but does need his confidence building in this area. I would prefer an experienced home as Gus can be insecure and benefits from strong leadership. Will be sold with all brand new tack and all his indoor/outdoor/heavy/medium and light weight rugs and his barefoot boots. Very very sad sale due to owner emigrating.
